For a special event celebrating the famous chef
Lee Brian Schrager, Geoff Howell Studio was asked by
GILT CITY to design and create the ambiance for a cocktail party in Schrager's honor at
202, a new restaurant at the Chelsea Market. Several events took place during the week long celebration. This one celebrating Schrager's influence across the country particularly with three renowned food and wine festivals (The NY, South Beach and South Western Food & Wine Festivals) Taking the cue from the existing chalk-drawn menu boards, four 24 foot long chalkboard table tops were created featuring chalk drawings of food, utensils, various cities and iconographies. Along with the hand drawn table tops were 14 six foot high arrangements of forsythia and scattering of hundreds of votives mimicking the sparkling lights above. Lee Schrager was all
