Sunglass Hut: Prada

Here's a look at a new PRADA installation at Sunglass at their 5th Ave flagship that we installed. This ultra understated presentation features a combination of large format backlit graphics and video to create a simple but bold design.

Sunglass Hut: Hello Sunshine

Hello Sunshine!  Here's a look at a recent  'splashy' installation we did in Macy's on 34th for Sunglass Hut, celebrating the unbreakable connection between Sunglasses and Summer. Large clear spheres were retrofitted with stands and holders for the sunglasses and placed among custom made high-gloss beach balls. Custom dimensional hanging signage and large graphics round out the display.

Sunglass Hut: Aerospace

For Sunglass Hut's Ray Ban 'Moonwalk' window, we were asked to create a life-sized, floating astronaut jumping around a moon like surface with a large photo blow-up of the earth behind for thier flagship store on 5th Ave.  The astronaut's body was created by one of our own genius pattern-makers and a spacesuit was fitted over the sculpted form.  The astronaut was hung in the window from a motor to replicate a slight up and down, side to side floating motion. We also created a grouping of glowing moons to showcase the Sunglasses.

WOW MOM

To add some WOW to this MOM's day window for the Sunglass Hut flagship on 5th Avenue, graphic patterns textures and bold colors livened up the presentation. Intricate vinyl appliques created the matte and gloss, tone on tone wall graphics and created the lively floor pattern. Brightly colored cylinders with under-lit diagonal tops showcased MOM gift-worthy sunglasses. As usual, we also produced the back-lit vertical graphics, video tower, and the dimensional hanging signage.

Sunglass Hut: Dolce & Gabbana

To promote Sunglass Hut's new line of Dolce & Gabbana sunglasses, we produced and installed two large media towers, one filled with 4 LCD screens and the others with backlit images as well as 9 x 9 foot white velvet covered panel with the D&G logo. In front of the velvet wall stands three gold plinths topped with velvet risers with the one on the middle featuring an 'unfolded box' in white velvet and gold trim. Dolce & Gabbana's new line features an ancient Italian technique of actual glass micro mosaic on the temples of the frames. Theyre really quite beautiful.

Here's a closer look at the beautiful craftsmanship in the micro-mosaic style the new D&G sunglasses feature.

Throwback: Sunglass Hut: Christmas with Georgia May Jagger 2012

Tis the season of gift-giving, warmth and sparkly sparkles. Designer Georgia May Jagger's holiday window at Sunglass Hut was an explosion of gold and red gift-wrapped boxes stacked and hanging in front of backdrops of golden glitter. Of special note, the front of the window features a mechanized gift box that we developed that opens and closes to expose (and hide) a lit sunglass display. Please have a look at the video below of our contraption in action!

Sunglass Hut: Prada, Coach & Bulgari

Here's a look at a recent collection of installation shots of stylish and fancy windows we installed for Sunglass Hut showcasing three luxury brands; Prada, Coach and Bulgari.  Although each window consists of similar elements, they are all unique to each brand.

Here you can see the Prada imagery, lit up by a custom lightbox we constructed, also featuring backlit dimensional lettering for that extra flair.  The giant image in the side window (seen below) requires special expertise as access to the window is a tight fit.

For this presentation, Coach required a high-gloss lacquered surface with no seams, with the Coach logo  cut-out and backlit. As you can see in this installation shot, shoe removal helps to keep things looking glossy!

More lightbox imagery for Bulagri as well.

Here you see a giant curved graphic we produced.

Our favorite element in this collection is the Bulgari snake, all custom created from scratch at our studio! It's based on their current iconography and echoes the design used as part of their christmas decor at the 57th st flagship. It's essentially a lightbox made from lucite, gold foil and hand assembled with multi-faceted sides.

Luxury Unwrapped

To help with Sunglass Hut's luxurious holiday presentation of gift-worthy sunglasse, we produced hundreds of hand-wrapped gold and red gift boxes, even one that magically opened and closed to reveal a particularly special pair of sunglasses. In addition we made giant hanging letters, lightboxes with graphics and other luxurious surfaces that all come together, or shall we say are 'all wrapped up' and ready for a bright holiday experience. All the photos featured in this post are from the 5th Ave. Sunglass Hut flagship. Similar installations were produced and shipped to 10 other Sunglass Huts across the nation.

Above and below are photos of the magic box, which was engineered with a motor to continuously open and close the top lid to reveal the surprise within. In addition, the box itself featured an underlit milk plexi platform to highlight the merchandise being featured

Sunglass Hut: The Look of Attraction

As Sunglass Hut introduces a new line of Sunglasses by Georgia May Jagger, GHS was asked to produce and install graphics, props, lightboxes and signage for their 5th avenue store. Sinuous forms in yellow and aqua tie the story of 'Metal meets Plastic' together.

A closer look at the swirling juxtapostion of color!
