Time to Give

Audemars Piguet pulled out all the stops this year in raising money for Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS with celebrity autographed engraved watches that were auctioned off at a glamourous event next door at the Four Seasons Hotel. The window, which we designed, built and installed, was a tri-phase project highlighting the auction, then the TONY Awards and finally, promoting the watch itself: their Royal Oak Offshore /57 st Limited Edition timepiece.
Celebrity autograph endorsements included Jay-Z, Meryl Streep, Catherine Zeta-Jones, Hugh Jackman, Antonio Banderas, Vanessa Williams and Neil Patrick Harris, among others.

The iconic city skyline was meticulously cut out of aluminum laminate with many brightly back-lit windows on both sides.

Red Carpet Retrospective

From now until March 21st, the windows of Emporio Armani on 5th Ave and 57th st feature a stunning collection of couture Armani gowns worn by celebrities on the red carpets in the past few years. To help Armani present their Red Carpet Retrospective, we built sleek and simple black risers for the mannequins complete with a thick Red Ribbon stripe in the background.
Both the ribbon and the risers gently incline upwards towards the back of the store which connects beautifully to the graphic incline shape that is repeated in the huge l.e.d. display that covers the facade of the building.

Not to be outdone, Lady Gaga's dazzling outer space dress with sparkly underpants from this year's Grammy's takes the corner window spot.

Here's a better look from inside the Armani store. Although the gowns get all the attention, this photo does provide the best view of the risers and red carpet stripe we produced.

In you're in New York for the next 10 days, come and check this unique and beautiful exhibit of high-end formal gowns worn by the stars including Halle Berry, Penelope Cruz, Victoria Beckham, Beyonce, Alicia Keys, Avril Levigne, Anne Hathaway, Fergie, January Jones and Elizabeth Banks

A Piguet in Ballet

In Ballet, a Pique (meaning "pricked") is a movement in which the strongly pointed toe of the lifted and extended leg sharply lowers to hit the floor then immediately rebounds upward. It is also a movement in which the dancer transfers a stance from one leg in pliƩ to the other leg by stepping out directly onto pointe or demi-pointe with a straight leg. However, an Audemars Piguet is a very expensive, often diamond-studded, piece of jewelry. And now, the talented and beautiful Prima Ballerina of the Russian Bolshoi Svetlana Zaharova will dazzle us all with her Pique in Piguet.

Zakharova was recently named the newest ambassor of Audemars Piguet and to celebrate, Geoff was asked to design and install a window at the Madison Ave flagship to highlight this connection. For this display, Geoff wanted to create a feeling of a stage, and an abstraction of descending stairs as the risers for the watch displays. on the "stage" stand two mannequins wearing simple ballerina costumes. Black and white photographs of Svetlana are framed, finishing off the Bolshoi theme.

Watch carefully for Zakharova's delicate Pique in Piguet!
